We walked into Coffeeism expecting coffee and got something closer to a craft cocktail experience. The flavor combinations were nothing we would have thought to put together, which made the visit feel completely different from a typical coffee run.
Lana chose Kiss Kiss Bangkok, a matcha drink with cardamom lemongrass syrup, coconut cream and Thai basil. Kyle ordered A Night at Summer Camp, made with espresso, marshmallow syrup, chocolate ganache and coconut cream.
It was different, intentional and memorable, even if it is not an experience we need to repeat.
The service was great, the shop had a real vibe and it was easy to see that people genuinely love this place and return often. We also enjoyed browsing the Japanese snacks, candies and specialty treats inside.
We felt like we got exactly the experience Coffeeism was trying to provide. With so many more places we want to try, we would keep this one as a memorable Palm Springs stop instead of rushing back.
Built with a bartender’s point of view
Coffeeism grew from the family vision of Guillaume, Melissa and Bodhi. Guillaume’s background behind the bar shows up in signature drinks that layer flavors with the same kind of intention you might expect from a craft cocktail.
Why the menu feels differentChoose the drink that sounds least expected.
The signature experience
Order from the composed signature menu and let the unexpected flavor combination be the point.
Kiss Kiss Bangkok
Matcha, cardamom lemongrass syrup, coconut cream and Thai basil. Currently listed at $12.
A Night at Summer Camp
Espresso, marshmallow syrup, chocolate ganache and coconut cream. This drink is not currently listed on the menu.
What we would order again: Nothing from this visit. Both drinks were memorable, but for us this was a one time experience.
