While exploring Tijuana, we found Lumea on Yelp. The photos made us expect a much larger coffee shop, but we walked into a cozy little café that ended up delivering big.
The Biscoff latte is made with real crushed cookies, and that could easily become too sweet. It did not. The espresso still came through, the cookie added just enough sweetness and the creamy cold foam tied every sip together.
We were the only customers when we arrived, which gave us time to talk with the staff. They were warm and genuinely welcoming. By the time we finished our drinks, the small space had filled up.
If you need an excuse to cross the border for coffee, this is a very good one.
For us, the best part was the balance. It tasted like Biscoff without turning into a cup of melted dessert, and that is exactly why we would recommend it.
A small coffee world in Zona Río
Lumea describes itself as a small world of coffee, and the compact shop fits that feeling. The Zona Río café offers dine in, pickup and delivery. Lumea now also has an Agua Caliente location, so confirm which shop fits your plans before you go.

Biscoff Latte
Real crushed Biscoff cookies add sweetness without covering up the espresso. The creamy cold foam makes the whole drink feel finished.
Balanced, not overloaded
We both liked that it still tasted like coffee. It was playful and memorable without becoming too much.
Biscoff Latte
This is the reason to stop. We would happily order it again.
What we would order again: The Biscoff latte with its creamy cold foam and real cookie topping.
